Although most guests prefer to enjoy the dreamy garden and the breathtaking view from the roof terrace - here are a few of the things you can experience outside of Casa Navegna.
Walks along the lake
The property is located 50m from the shores of Lago Maggiore with its countless tiny beaches. The lakeside promenade takes you all the way to Locarno and is particularly peaceful from autumn to spring. During these months, the walkway in the other direction to Tenero/Gambarogno is also open.
Water activities
There are two stand-up paddle boards at your disposal and boats can be rented in Locarno and Ascona.

Hiking
Many hiking trails can be found in the vicinity. A particularly beautiful trail, especially suitable for families with children is Bobosco. The path runs along the Verzasca River and every few meters there is a play station that delights young and old. We are happy to provide you with the needed boccia balls.
Sports
​Next to the house there is a beautiful bike path that runs along the lake and river. Citybikes can be rented at a rental station next to the house.
The publicly accessible sports centre can be reached by bike or car in 5 minutes.
There are also tennis courts and golf courses nearby.
Italy city trip
A train brings you directly from Minusio to Milano in two hours.

Another wonderful day trip destination is the Isola Madre, which can be reached by boat from Stresa (Italy).

Visit some of the museums and galleries in the region.

Termali Salini & Spa
Spend a few relaxing hours at the Termali Salini & Spa in Locarno. They offer a natural saltwater spa, sauna facilities and massages.
Afterwards, you can enjoy dinner at he BLU restaurant right next door.
Skiing
You certainly won't have a dull moment in winter either.
Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis is a very large ski resort, which can be reached in approx. 75 minutes by car.
Splügen is particularly popular with families with small children and is around 50 minutes away by car.
The picturesque village of Bosco Gurin is always worth a visit and also offers a smaller ski piste with two chairlifts. It can be reached in about an hour by car.
